John Magness, Master Developer at Former Norton Air Force Base Passes

Earlier this week a friend sent me a link to an article: https://www.sbsun.com/2023/02/07/john-magness-master-developer-of-san-bernardinos-norton-air-force-base-dies/amp/

I opened the link and my heart immediately sank.

John and I had spent considerable time working on plans for the former Norton Air Force Base, and ideas about what might work and attract economic activity at the location.

We would routinely discuss his proposed projects before they were being put forward for approval, and we would venture off into discussions about flying, leading teams, and our mutual desire to help greater and larger causes.

Some of my most vivid memories include having sidebar conversations at #SanBernardino city council meetings and anticipating questions from the council.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Magness family.
